Dean Meadows is a multi-award-winning filmmaker, former magazine writer, editor, publisher and recognised cult film historian. With a background spanning genre cinema, film journalism and independent production, he brings a distinctive combination of creative credibility, specialist knowledge and first-hand industry experience to scripted and non-scripted storytelling.
Dean offers a compelling voice within the screen sector, rooted in accessible, character-driven stories, a deep understanding of cult, genre and niche audiences, and a proven ability to create distinctive content with strong visual identity and international appeal. Pentagram Pictures is developing a broad slate across action, horror, thriller, comedy and documentary, positioning it to deliver projects that combine specialist subject matter with clear audience engagement.
The debut feature, Scarlett Cross: Agents of D.E.A.T.H. (2022), demonstrated Pentagram Pictures’ capacity to produce ambitious independent screen content with global festival traction. The film was selected for 19 international festivals, including the L.A. Sci-Fi and Horror Film Festival, the Birmingham Film Festival and the 10th anniversary Urban Action Showcase in Times Square, New York, where it held its world premiere. At the event, it won Best Feature Film in the Angels of Action category, celebrating women in martial arts and action cinema, as well as Best Weapons Sequence. Across its festival run, the film received 11 awards and five honourable mentions, with Dean also accepting an award for excellence and service to the entertainment industry.
Inspired by the innovation, resourcefulness and commercial instinct of filmmakers and producers such as Roger Corman, Larry Cohen and Menahem Golan, Dean has built Pentagram Pictures around bold ideas, efficient production practice and a clear understanding of niche audiences with mainstream crossover potential. Ailsa Roanne brings a distinctive international profile to Pentagram Pictures, combining screen acting, theatre, music and physical performance with the rare authority of a former international champion bodybuilder. A professional performer from an early age, she began her career in classical theatre, including work rooted in Shakespearean and Marlovian traditions, before developing her craft through formal training at LAMDA and the Lee Strasberg Method Studio. That foundation gives her work strong dramatic discipline, while her broader performance background brings an instinctive command of presence, movement and character transformation. As both a performer and producer, Ailsa offers recognisable screen credibility, practical production insight and a compelling personal journey across stage, television, independent cinema, music and factual drama.
Her screen career spans productions in the UK, Holland and Italy, with credits across drama, comedy, documentary and feature film. She previously worked with Pentagram Pictures on Scarlett Cross: Agents of D.E.A.T.H. (2022), playing DCI Carter, and Dracula: Rise of the Vampire (2025), in which she appears as DSI Kathryn Lee while also serving as associate producer, helping support the film’s completion and delivery. Her wider film and television work includes Sky TV’s Mount Pleasant, Channel 4’s Shameless and Hullraisers (2022), the Channel 5 prison drama Clink, crime-based factual programming including Judge Rinder’s Crime Stories, and the theatrically released Bollywood feature and Netflix title Savi (2024). These credits demonstrate a performer comfortable moving between mainstream broadcast comedy, character drama, procedural storytelling, feature film and heightened genre material.
Most recently, Ailsa portrayed Hollywood actress Susan Cabot in AMC’s US true-crime docudrama Wasp Woman: Murder of a B-Movie Queen (2025), a three-part documentary series combining archive, investigation, interview and dramatic reconstruction.
Ailsa has also built a parallel music career as an international recording and performing artist, working alongside major names including Beverly Knight, The Drifters, U2, Rene Froger and Orietta Berti.
